Is this web site secure?
Yes; the ordering process - from viewing your Shopping Cart to checking out - is completely secure. We use PayPal to handle all transactions and we never see any of your card details or sensitive information. For your protection, all transactions are encrypted.

Do I need a PayPal account to order items?
No; if you have a PayPal account you can use it, but you can purchase goods without one.

Is Postage + Packaging really free in the UK?
Yes; all items are carefully packaged and sent First Class within the UK at no charge to you. Delivery times are standard Royal Mail First Class delivery times.

Do you ship to addresses outside the UK?
Yes; if the delivery address is outside the UK, click the Non-UK delivery address link at the top of the page. This will enable you to add extra postage.

Will the item I order look exactly like the picture on this web site?
The printing process that produces the cloth used on our products is called 'wax resist'. The wax resist process ensures that no two yards of cloth are ever quite the same, and guarantees that each item we produce is unique. For this reason, there are slight variations between the items we sell.
We also endeavour to replicate the actual colours on this web site as best we can.

Some of the products seem to have a slight pattern visible in the cloth. What is this?
This is called 'damask'. Some of our cloth has a woven pattern that reflects light differently depending on the light source and the position of the viewer. Our damask is produced by weaving the white cotton in different directions and this subtle effect adds an extra dimension to the look of the product.

Are all items in stock?
There may be rare occasions when an item sold on this web site is out of stock. If this happens we will e-mail you to discuss alternative arrangements. If you prefer a full (or partial) refund, one will be given to you.

How are these products produced?
All items are hand made in England using the finest materials and the highest quality English batik. We produce the items in limited runs in order to keep the range fresh. If you see a product you like, we advise you to buy it; we may not be making any more.
